LifeWorks Rocks with Eddie Money
Benefits St. Luke's LifeWorks
Stamford, CT –Eddie Money was ‘Shakin’ at the Palace Theatre recently for LifeWorks Rocks and Rolls with Eddie Money. The 80’s rocker opened with his hit ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’ – the aptly named first prize of the raffle and closed with another favorite, ‘Baby Hold On’. The pre-event reception took on the theme of the era with a giant screen showing 80’s MTV clips in a neon setting, and Mick Jagger and Belinda Carlisle likenesses mingling with the guests. The silent auction and raffle proceeds contributed to programs of St. Luke’s LifeWorks; a Fairfield County agency that provides housing, educational opportunities and life skills training for people overcoming homelessness, recovering from mental illness or living with HIV/AIDS.
Matt Zako of 95.9 The Fox served as emcee for LifeWorks Rocks sponsored by Cox Radio and Bank of America. A new video was unveiled before the concert which featured participants, volunteers, and supporters of St. Luke's LifeWorks, including long time supporter Mike Critelli, Chairman of Pitney Bowes. Barrie Spelling, Board President of St. Luke's LifeWorks who co-chaired the event with the Rev. Richard Schuster called the event “Over the Top – Five Stars” and said he looks forward to attending the next LifeWorks Rocks event. Plans are already in the making for the 2009 benefit.
